Hanfu Fashion Booms in China's "Spring Economy"

As the temperature rises, the "spring economy" in various parts of China is gradually heating up. In cultural and tourism activities, more and more tourists choose to wear various styles of Hanfu to enjoy the spring scenery.

In the scenic area of West Lake in Hangzhou, the "Hello Girl" ancient-style photography studio has witnessed a new peak in visitor flow. The daily order volume of this studio has increased by 25% compared to the same period last year.

The brand's founder, Zhang Hong, explained that customers prefer to take photos by the pool or at the scenic spots of West Lake. Recently, the store will also launch a Hanfu photo shoot package with the theme of "Taiping Year", which is expected to be available on the e-commerce platform by the end of March.

The trend of Hanfu tourism at the consumer end continues to gain popularity, and many local tourism departments have also organized related activities. For instance, the Chenghuang Pavilion in Hangzhou launched a "Hanfu-themed month" event, offering free admission to tourists wearing Hanfu; the Zhenhua Festival in Feidong, Anhui Province established a professional team of 800 people for Hanfu rental and styling, providing tourists with one-stop photo-shooting services; the Jin Ding Flower Festival in Kunming, Yunnan Province invited Hanfu enthusiasts to offer sacrifices to the flower gods and pray for blessings...

Not long ago, the "95-year-old" Ba Weibao specially wore Hanfu and went to Hangzhou Xixi Wetland to enjoy the cherry blossoms. "I heard that this scenery of 'Exploring Cherry Blossoms in Xixi Wetland' was formed in the Ming Dynasty. So I specially wore a Ming-style mǎmiàn dress to experience the romance of the ancients. I value the cultural flavor behind the Hanfu tour."

Many young Chinese people regard Hanfu as a carrier of cultural heritage. At the China Silk Museum in Hangzhou, Hong Kaiwen, dressed in a silk robe with the pattern of camellia and an oval collar, uses the damaged corners of his clothes to tell visitors about the "peculiarities" of silk fabrics.

This is the third year that Hanfu culture enthusiast Hong Kaiwen has been engaged in volunteer interpretation work. In the Hanfu he recreated in the style of the Song Dynasty, many patterns have historical records: the rhombic flying phoenix pattern on the unearthed artifacts from Dazhouneng Temple, the flame pattern on the clothing unearthed from the tomb of Zhao Bieyun, and the如意 mountain tea pattern on the clothing unearthed from the tomb of Huang Sheng...

"I hope to wear them myself and through my explanations, enable everyone to have a more intuitive understanding of the Song Dynasty culture and Hanfu culture," said Hong Kaiwen. (Bao Mengni)
